Hello! My name is Terri Ingle-Krause and I am the school counselor at MEC. I've been fortunate to be a part of MEC since we began in 2006. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Deaf Education and Elementary Education at Lenoir-Rhyne University. I taught at the NC School for the Deaf in Morganton for six years. I attended Appalachian State University, where I received my Master's Degree in School Counseling. In addition to MEC, I worked at West McDowell Junior High as a school counselor for three years.
As the school counselor at MEC, I am available to work with students on issues ranging from academics to personal/social concerns. Students may be referred by teachers, family, friends or through a self referral. I work with seminar teachers to share information regarding mental health and student wellness.
I also teach senior seminar for students that will be attending a four year college/university after graduation. In senior seminar, we complete college applications, work on financial aid and address a variety of topics to help students transition successfully to their future campus.
I live in Nebo with my husband and best friend Scott and our kitties. My favorite things to do are spending time with my family and working outside. I love to garden and work in my flowers. I'm an active member of and enjoy participating in various classes at the YMCA.
You may contact me through email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone (828) 659-0413.
